Feeling Festive - Here are our top picks for Santa's Grottos to visit around Sheffield

It finally feels acceptable now to start talking about Christmas, despite the fact that all the shops seem to have been touting their festive wares since after the school summer holidays.  I realise we all vary greatly in our attitudes to the ‘most wonderful time of the year’, but I’m sure that one thing we all have in common is the acceptance that for the kids, it really is an exciting and magical time.

One outing that adds to this excitement is a trip to Santa’s Grotto.  There’s no denying that it’s not the most relaxing of trips to take.  With all the hustle, bustle and general festive crazy that seems to invade all Christmas activities, a visit to Santa’s Grotto is not for the feint hearted.  I do believe though, that if you catch the child at the right age, and you go prepared and steel yourself for the realities of the Christmas madness, you can end up making a truly magical memory to treasure.

Below are a few of what we think will be the best Santa’s Grottos in and around Sheffield this year.
